Near-death experience!

Glad your roo is ok! I once had a white silkie chick, about 2 weeks old, that hopped into a kiddy pool my mom and grandma made for the ducks..I heard loud chirping from my window and saw him swimming but really drowning in there...I ran out and saved him. That was when he almost died.

When he was 5 months old I had to rehome him but told the person I could take him back if it didn’t work out to try to find him another home. I took him back and the partridge rock bantam rooster I raised him with pecked him on the head and he died instantly since silkies have vaulted skulls. That was when he really died.
I had to rehome chirpy due to aggression issues as he got older.
 
Yep, that's one of the reasons I'm rehoming mine. Mostly it's because he can't crow here- he was supposed to be a pullet, but he did a bad job of it ;), so I'm keeping the collar on him while he's still here.
Good luck, not many back yarders like crowers.
