I refuse to heat lamp. Corn before roosting tonight and plenty of water. I want/need hearty birds on this open prairie!

If we ever head to -5 real temp, i MIGHT let them camp in the barn over night. Otherwise it's puff and snuggle.

See and they are already in the barn, it is their winter home...So they are probably ok. But as the lamp is already there and all it requires is to be plugged in...Not really hard.

No heat at all in our coop and all is well. Just went out to check on them and give them some more food. I'm mixing it 50% cracked corn. 13 outside temp right now and 36 in the wrapped run. I stayed and watched them for awhile, it felt nice with the sun beating though.

The ducks were mad though as the Ador1 door was frozen shut because when it was above freezing THEY tracked mud into the bottom groove. Got it all scraped out with a screwdriver and all is well now. Spoiled ducks.
