can anyone tell me if all chickens flair out their neck feathers at each other or is it only

My roosters do it more, but I have had hens do it if I make them mad.

thank you for telling me this my "flock" is really throwing me off as far as sexing them. they are 23 weeks and no eggs!! they all act like roosters except for 1 and the old hens.

i'm hoping it is the 2 roo and 4 hen that i was told

my little ones do it all the time,, their just practicing for the "top of the totem pole",, i even have month olds that look like i have chicken wrestling in my yard.,, all that said,, my roos do it more,, but all do it.

They will both do it, but the males more often seem to do it at a much younger age.

My hens do it when they are dust bathing, or after I have held them. Especially the BO. She is poofy anyways, but when she does that, WOW!
