I had a like 6 week old chick pass away so I decided to do a necropsy, can anyone help with figuring out what happened? All the organs looked healthy except the lungs. They look spotted kind of.

I will never eat chicken again after seeing this post :p

I don't see any infections or anything that would make me think diseased chicken.
If you gave more history of how the chicken was doing before her death maybe someone would have more info, things like poop color/smell breath smell, comb color/health, injuries/swelling as in maybe spider bites or other venomous animals. feed used, water used, enviroment they live in etc.

She kind of dropped dead. One possible theory I had is that the broody duck grabbed and broke her neck then stuffed her under them because I found her under them when collecting eggs. They were raised by a broody chicken so they all were in the coop with everyone. I thought her organs looked healthy too. Only thing I thought was maybe off was the lungs but then again this was my first time doing it.

That is sad :( Check her body for bite marks like snakes or black widows. and yea the duck could have killed her but
I believe there would be lots of feathers everywhere, blood out her mouth maybe and bad wounds on her neck. I seen what a broken neck looks like because my first 2 chickens were killed by my neighbor like 3 years ago. there will be signs and injury that you will see on her neck and signs of struggle too. it is not easy to break a chickens neck. they have extreme flexibility in them.

Is that some hemorrhage or blood clots around the liver? If the lungs have lesions, I would wonder about aspergillosis or brooder pneumonia. I am an amateur at necropsies, but thanks for posting pictures. Very sorry for your loss.

She passed away September 14th so I can't now.

She JUST passed away when I did the necropsy. Like body was not stiff yet. Their conditions were relatively clean so I wouldn't think so but who knows. She passed away September 14th so I cannot investigate further or send her anywhere.
