Need a cheap, durable run to withstand NH winters and keep out foxes and hawks and dogs!

You don't happen to have a pic of exactly how this is set up do you?
I've never done electric wire, so seeing it would really help.
This should give you the basic idea.

Note how the "hot " wire goes from the charger to the TOP wire of the fence, and then it uses "jumpers' to connect the lower wires;

All you have to do is wire in cut off switches in the jumpers, so you can turn off the lower wires but leave the upper wires on

Thank you!!!!

I'd like to add a recommendation for the Premier company; I've ordered from them often and always been happy. Good value! Their free catalogs are very helpful, call and order them. I get heavy items like fence posts locally, but the connectors, etc. from Premier. Mary

We like the apron idea of using hardware cloth along the bottom. As for aviary netting, we are concerned with snow sliding off the metal roof on the coop. Anyone have experience with this or have any solutions for dealing with the snow falling off coop roofs?

What about a hoop run? There is a post on here somewhere where the poster built extra strong for snow load. I built a hoop run, covered it all in hardware cloth and skirted it all around with 2' of 2"x2" of wire laid flat and hog ringed to the cow panels I built the hoop run with.

Found it! I knew I had saved that link!!

I love my hoop run and wouldn't have it any other way. My girls are secure, safe and covered.
