I know!! It's like one of those crocheted hens that people would make to cover the breadbox or toaster.....

So wide and flat that you just know that each and every egg is really getting the full benefit of all that warmth.

I had a very determined broody, a Black sex link, that sat on 3 sets of eggs before hatching two of the last batch. I was really worried about her cause her comb and wattles became quite pale. That was last year, she's one of my prettiest hens.
