What I've read about the cushion comb. The standard is smooth. this one is rough and bumpy.Cushion. Strawberry and walnut combs are the same, genetically speaking, as a cushion comb. It's produced by the presence of both the pea comb gene and the rose comb gene.
There are secondary modifying genes that produce smooth, lumpy, or even spikier type combs. These modifying genes are complex, and little understood.
