Would you guys say this Cockerel has a pea comb, Cushion Comb or a Strawberry comb. It is rough and bumpy and has a few small almost down like feathers growing through it.

What I've read about the cushion comb. The standard is smooth. this one is rough and bumpy.
There are secondary modifying genes that produce smooth, lumpy, or even spikier type combs. These modifying genes are complex, and little understood. The smooth cushion standard is because, typically, the smooth rose comb is prefered in many breeds. Doesn't mean that all genetically cushion combs will be smooth, though.

You guys are awesome. Just trying to trace down small thing that might lead me in a direction to at least give a educated guess at what my EE Cockerel is crossed with. he is really good to his hens and very gentle towards us.

Cushion The cushion comb is round, small and solid, with no points or ridges. Starting at the upper portion of the beak, it extends a short way up the chicken’s head.A low, compact comb of relatively small size, it should be quite smooth, possess no depressions or no spikes and not extend beyond the mid point of the skull,

Thats what I read... so, I was thinking that description doesn't actually match what i'm seeing.
