I am short , but I am a woman, so nobody cares, but 2 times other women were rude enough to say that my, at the time teenage son, was short, (as an adult, he is now 5'9''. )
Both times the women who said this, (maybe it was a blurt), both women were very tall. (and one of them had a short husband herself.)
One of the ladies who said this was probably 6'. It was at a Christmas party. Her daughters teens at the time were having a hard time finding dates being they were almost as tall as mom, (not that my son was even interested,) "your son is so short," said the mom. I said, "Well in the animal world there are giraffes and there are panthers. A panther doesn't want to be a giraffe. Nor does he want to date one." She left me alone.

That song goes through my head whenever I see Oob Child's name. Makes me smile.

@Oob Child, I learned long ago that, for some people, the fastest way for them to feel better about themselves is to put someone else down.

It doesn't make it hurt less at the moment, but this might help you feel better later.
