Need A Hatch Buddy.. Anyone Setting Today 2/26?

well, of the 118 bobwhites i set, only 82 made it to lockdown. they started hatching right on time on saturday, had 4 or 5 pip and die in the shell, 2 had bad feet and died and im up to ,i think,61 survivors and they are still hatching. does anybody know how long i should keep them in hatcher? or how long hatching should take? i didnt think i had any cold spots in my bator but now im starting to wonder. there is only about 13 left but i have chicken eggs due for lockdown tomorrow afternoon and not shure i have enough space.

I turn them upside down and set them over the eggs on the wire mesh. chicks hatch and stay inside the inverted baskets. because of the open weave I can see into them through the bator window.

like the idea of the baskets. wonder if i have anything around here I could use. How many were you able to get in the baskets? I am going to go and look around the house and see what i have to recycle around the home.
like the idea of the plastic fruit bins fruit comes in when you get it at the store. Might have some here

Woohoo!!!!

I am soooo excited.

I have 7 FBCMs in the brooder, 24 BBS Ameraucana eggs going into lock-down tomorrow, and just received an email letting me know I have more Ameraucana and FBCMs in the mail on the way to me!!!

I just took my Brinsea apart and washed it good. Will leave it to dry and air out tonight and plug it in tomorrow morning. By the time my eggs arrive and set for a few hours, my Brinsea should be ready for my next

!!!

I was hoping for one or two and really hoping that there would be a frizzle in the bunch. I broke my own rule by incubating shipped eggs (especially Serama's), or I should say shipped eggs that I paid for. I have had great hatches with shipped eggs from swaps, but everytime I buy eggs the hatch is terrible if at any at all. I quit
