Well I heard back from ideal, and they are going to replace the chicks that died in transport. Unfortunately, the chicks that I have that survived will be 2 weeks at that point.

How do I do this? I only have one brooder and heat lamp. I don't want the new chicks to be too cold or the old ones to be too hot. Also I don't want the older ones to harm the younger ones. I don't have the option of getting a second brooder. Should I just tell them not to bother until after the survivers are out of the brooder or will this work out? Please I need some quick responses so I can let Ideal know.

Thank you

being only two weeks apart you should be fine, in fact your older babies will teach the little ones how to eat and drink, just keep an eye on them and separt them if there is a problem

Oh thank you so much for such a hasty response. I just wanted to be able to cancel their replacements if it wouldn't be advisable. I am glad that it is! Thank you again.
