some sort of dip for hard boiled quail eggs. I am birng these to a family party this weekend and want something that is just oh so dlish! Most of my family as well as my co-workers are very hesitant on eating a quail egg. I find this ridiculous and tell them so...LOL I am hoping if I have osme way of serving them that is very good, I can change peoples minds.

I know there is some kind of meatball recipe that you wrap the meat mix around a hard boiled quail egg and them bake (I think).....

Sounds interesting to me, just tell people they are banty pullet eggs!

If there is any Chinese grocery store in your area, you can go buy some mixed seasonings. They are usually packaged with several small bags of seasoning in a single plastic bag. The small bag is made of paper that is similar to a tea bag.

These seasonings are used to cook anything from toufu, chicken, pork, or eggs. You boil the eggs first, after they are ready, you remove the shells, then boil the eggs together with a single seasoning bag again, after the water boils, turn to lower heat to slowly boil it, long enough until the egg starts to turn slightly brown. Usually takes half an hour or so for chicken eggs, shorter for quail eggs.

Trust me, extremely tasty! People in China eat chicken eggs made this way all the time, especially as breakfast or snack. I don't recall how many I had eaten in college. Some of the Chinese restaurant or super market food court here in US might even offer these.

Make potato salad! My Mama bout died when I told her I used a turkey egg for the cornbread one night. An egg is an egg, unless it comes from a reptile LOL!!!!!

Just make mini deviled eggs, my family thought they were so good.

Or fix everyone an oyster shooter.. that will shut them up or get them drunk... either way they'll forget about the quail egg.

Oyster shooters have sake, ponzu and oyster w/ green onion shavings and a quail egg. I was disgusted by this because I hate oysters... well after trying one at a work dinner under major peer pressure... it was actually pretty good.

Hi,

We often make mini scotch eggs here in England with quail eggs.

Firstly hard boil your quail eggs, and then choose your favourite sauage meat. Peel the egg and coat with flour and wrap a little sausage meat around the egg.
Cover the egg in bread crumbs and deep fry until golden brown, drain on kitchen towel.Leave to cool.

You can serve these whole or better still cut in half with a salad.

Ironsun.
