Need a rooster. Confused! Please help.

im not to good at telling breeds apart but i dont necisarily care, since i dont show. as long as their good tempered, non-dominate twards people, and are good with the hens i say its worth it.
X2 and also that bird looks older than 20wks. Think the guy at the feed store is either misinformed or trying to get rid of a it by giving you a spiel. Heavy boned? Does this guy got x-ray eyes? Depending on the breed most times the rooster will weigh from 1-3 pounds more than the hen, unless the rooster is full grown and hens are still young pullets. Twice the size sounds a little sketchy to me.
plus, i completely agree with this. none of my roos are "twice the size of the hens." in fact, one of my roos is kinda on the small side. just make sure he knows his place.

Big roosters make big hens. I want big hens . Last roo I had was big & his offspring were big hens.

We got a purebred buff orpington a couple days ago instead! 1 1/2 years old and non-agressive. Very big haha Way bigger than my hens which I hope isn't a problem.
