Well this morning I woke up to 7 fuzzy butts staring up at me! 4 boys and 3 girls. I had two eggs that had their pip glued shut from all the goo the others made. I moved the 7 to the brooder (aka pink tote with a heat lamp) and I used a tweezer and removed the goo from the pips of the two. One zipped out immediately, the other is still looking week in its egg. A third egg, the one that pipped out the wrong end is still moving. I opened up a small hole the size of a pin almost just so it could keep breathing. I cranked up the humidity in the bator to help them all. I'll post pics after work today. For now I am off. Oh there are about 4 other eggs in there that show now signs of hatching, though I know they were moving when I candled at day 17.
Congrats to all the other new chickie mamas and your new hatches.
