Lab rat to be exact I do know super glue was first used in Vietnam
to close wounds.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. This is a great place to explore and hang out. As a retired Veterinarian super glue it close after cleaning with saline and adding neosporin no pain killer in it.

PennyJo, I didn't know you were a veterinarian. Did you see chickens when you were in practice?

May I add when glueing or stiching the cleaned and disinfected wound closed to leave a little opening at the lowest point to allow for any exudate to drain, or else a possible fluid build up can start to fester. Check daily for signs of infection.

Keep her inside until the wound is closed.

And don't beat yourself up, accidents just happen.
