I have described all that in another thread. The only thing I can think of is heat exhaustion or stroke!Very hot here in AZ !!She is sick right? Answer these questions.>
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms?
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma.
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation.
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all.
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far?
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird until you can get to a vet?
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use
Oh, sorry, I didn't know you had another thread.I have described all that in another thread. The only thing I can think of is heat exhaustion or stroke!Very hot here in AZ !!
It's all good someone suggested a new post. But thank you for your response!Oh, sorry, I didn't know you had another thread.
This is a photo and video!
I'm not sure but several weeks ago we got 10 babies and have keep them separate! And since then my 4 layers have only produced between 1 to 3 a day.eo ai have been using garlic water, electrolytes, my baby chickens medicated feed with the electrolyte water. She has had diarrhea off and on but have been forcing or strongly for encouraging her to eat and drink She acts like she is dozing off and she doesn't really open her eyes! I had over heated issues with baby chicks that I thought for sure I was going to lose, but the electrolytes brought her back! When you have info on one thread it doesn't transfer to the other.
When is the last time she laid an egg?
I'd stop putting cool water on her.
Provide her with electrolytes and see that her crop is emptying overnight.
She may have suffered from heat, but she may also be having some other issue like reproductive problems.
