Need advice for amount of chickens 4x4x6 coop please.

The question was how many chickens would comfortably fit in a 4x4 coop. That's 16 sq ft of floor space. The answer is usually 4 chickens, assuming not much space is taken up by nests, feeders or waterers. Plan 4 sq ft per chicken to prevent behavioral issues such as bullying, feather picking, etc.

It still depends on the people.

1-4 eggs per day would not be enough for a person who eats 4 eggs for breakfast every day, and sometimes eggs at other meals too. I know a person who does that.

When I take my younger son, who is 28, to Waffle House he orders 10 eggs over easy plus a couple of waffles. He would definitely need more than one to four eggs a day!

This kid has always been able to pack away astounding amounts of food without gaining weight, amd now that he’s an adult doing manual labor, that’s even more true.
