Need advice for New Coop/Run setup please!

Not much wind protection for us at our height, but plenty of shelter at chicken height.
Gotcha
Inside the new open air coop I am really shocked there isn't more of a breeze or coolness about it (of course we are hitting >100 here) but still thought it would "feel" better in there.
The entire area is 10'x20' with nearly 7' height in middle section then slanted on on sides and has a tarp over all but 4' of roof and sides.
Or do u think it is cooler on their level?
I still gotta go get finished pic of it all!

Definitely need to see photos.

Mine is oriented to take advantage of the summer breeze that always flows uphill and to vent heat out through the clerestory:

Ok here it is as of today...nearly done just got zip ties to still finish cutting, hang pvc feeders,l, and removing the tools, ladder, etc.
My husband chose this spot because it was less slope than any other area in our yard....both because he didn't wanna level it (but I told him what yall said) and less rain runoff.
I have no concept of identifying the way the wind blows cuz to me it's always different...the sun comes up on the front right side there beside the door. Then sets on the backside.
Sorry I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box. Husband taught me the sun thingy!

Looks good so far.

Can you get some shade on the sunset side? Late afternoon is the hottest part of the day.

Maybe lean some pallets up against the wall there? That would make some shade, but not interfere with airflow.

The next time it rains, pay attention to the way the wind blows the rain into the enclosure. :)
