Need advice on a neighbor situation.

Hi everyone, so I have a neighbor who doesnt seem to take very good care of their chickens. They have been in their pen for about a year and I have never seen it actually raked out and cleaned. They live in 2-3 inches of poo and mud. Everything is just covered. The run, the inside of their coop, even the ramp into the coop. The smell is pretty horrible. They maybe go in there and add food and water for them once every week or so, maybe longer. One Roo's feet look pretty bad with them bleeding and swollen. I don't know what to do. I live outside city limits and I've called Animal control before about 8 months ago and nothing really happened.

Animal control won't do anything not much you can do. Sad as it is it's their property. Going over there and sticking your nose in their business is likely gonna cause more issues than it helps.

Keep contacting animal control. Make enough noise and they will investigate.

Also look for any local animal welfare/rescue organizations that could add emphasis and urgency to your reports.

Reporting this might get more attention than the 'abuse' aspect.

It's a small neighborhood just outside the city limits by a few blocks

We've tried talking to them before and they just don't get it? They think it's fine and normal.

So you never see them coming out taking care of them giving them water or food are they free-ranging around the yard or they in a run
