Need advice on Emu diet

I got my first emus March 2019 and was not sure what to feed them. I finally found someone who said they mix their own grain which I started to do. I use 1/3 sweet feed (tractor supply), 1/3 rabbit feed and 1/3 laying pellets. I've tried to give them apples, squash and other vegetables, but they aren't interested. I just got another one about three months ago, and he is growing like a weed.

Hi, newemu. Do keep us informed on this. Surely a range of fresh food is essential for long-term health. The wild birds beat the hides of one another to access fallen fruit.
