Hi everyone!
I found this brand of feed and I was wondering if it would be ok to feed my 9 week Pekins this:
https://www.ruralking.com/catalog/product/view/id/142927
Its Country Road All flock feed 18% protein. There is also an 18% duck feed that I saw on the shelf one week. Is 18% protein too much for adolescent and adult ducks? I’ve been struggling to find anything below 18%
They have been on this non-medicated chick starter/grower (also 18% protein) which I’ll attach a picture of below.
i supplement their food with niacin every day, and they are also free range so they eat a lot of bugs. I’ve only been giving them feed in the morning, and then a small amount at night to get them inside the coop. They get healthy treats, but only in very small amounts. Usually less than a cup.
I want to make sure they’re getting the correct nutrition, and the right amount of food. I don’t want them to be overweight or deficient in anything!
I was just wondering if anyone had any advice. The all flock feed says that ducks at 7 weeks of age can eat it, but I didn’t know if anyone had any experience with that brand or not.
