Need Advice on How to Hatch Call ducks

Just keep the tempature and humidity the same and you should do fine. I just hatched out a bunch of Call ducklings and its my first time. Remember to keep the eggs moist during hatching or the shell membranes might dry out.

I have 15 call duck eggs under 1 broody hen and 8 under another the first ones are due next tuesday and I am getting very nervous as every one says they are so hard to hatch , any advise out there???????

Calls are a real pain to hatch out...I just got 9 eggs in the mail today and plan on putting them in the bator tomorrow.

I have only ever hatched them in a bator and under my females. My females usually do a fantastic job with hatching. I just let them do their thing, but I always start the bator up toward the end of their hatch just in case some eggs hatch earlier than others.

When hatching in an incubator I have the temp. at 37.5 degrees C (usually) until the last week of the hatch. Then I drop it a couple degrees, stop turning the eggs and mist 2 or 3 times a day.

The first time I did this I got 4 out of 5, but I had to help 2. The trickiest part is keeping the humidity up. When they start hatching DON'T TOUCH THE BATOR. No matter how badly you want to. This completely throws off the humidity and means a harder time for the others still hatching.

Good luck with your hatches!
