My son and daughter are showing two of our E.A's at the fair this upcoming week. Without knowing what the forecast is, I am expecting a hot week. I need suggestions on how to keep them cool. We have frozen water bottles but I'm afraid that will get their fur to wet and then we'll have to worry about matting. We are going to try to get near an outlet so we can bring more fans. For those who show rabbits, do you have any other suggestions or advice on how to keep them cool? I was thinking of freezing some towels so they can lay on them. The nights haven't been bad so I'm not worried about that it's just the mid day heat I'm worried about. I have a show in October that I want to show them at so I don't want to take a chance on anything happening to them.
Thanks...

Wow I have never seen a bunny like that before. That's wild looking. Pretty, but wild.

Those two are nothing compared to my other doe. Before I clipped her, her hair was close to 6 " long. She looked awesome!

Depending on how often you can get to the fairgrounds, you could get some large tile squares and stick them in the freezer, switching them out every few hours.

Frankly I just don't show my rabbits in this kind of weather, especially not at a fair where they have to be away from home multiple days and get stressed out regardless. We're hitting a show next weekend, but only because it's on the coast and should be 20-30 degrees cooler than out 100+ weather. I don't know how hot it is where you are, though.

Well when it's check in time this weekend it's supposed to be in the mid 70's. I am praying all next week will be around the same .
I was thinking about trying tile too. We will be at the fairgrounds continuously all week long. We are taking a tent and sleeping there. That way we can monitor them ourselves and make sure they are comfortable.

Where are your rabbits living now? Are they inside, outside, do they have a fan/misters/something else? Mid-70's isn't anything I'd worry too much about. It's supposed to be 108 here!
