Need advice on how to solve my chicken dilemma

My boy is a bit clumsy though. He kind of falls around when he mounts the hens, and he holds onto them for support. Mango always screams when he does that.
It may be more of a protest, then screaming in pain. However, it is fine to seperate them for your own peace of mind. Just remember that lone chickens are never happy. As stated in a previous post, I have a Black Australorp mounting a Silkie. The difference is, she is very willing, and will even ask him. Our other cockerel was a big fan of the ambush tactic for mating, but he has grown out of that thankfully.

Oh, I would never just leave one chicken alone. I would either put the boys in the second coop, or the bantams. My question was which of the two options would be best for all of my chickens.

Is she being injured? Or offended?
There's no magic female/male ratio that's going to work every time, it depends on space available, and individual personalities.
Your clumsy cockerel may improve his technique, and your screaming pullet might decide she likes him after all. Or not.
We never have enough coop space! Here we've enlarged ours three times, and only by exercising real restraint have I stopped enlarging again!

I'm not sure. I think he hurts her, but I'm not certain. These are my first roosters, so I'm kind of learning as I go along.

Because you stated before that you couldn't get anymore pullets at this time, I think a bachelor pad is the best solution.

Well, I can't add any more girls to my main coop without taking any of my current chickens out. But, I'm building a smaller coop to separate either the boys or the bantams. If I put one boy in each coop, then I would be able to add more girls.
