This morning Rhode Island Red, almost 2 yrs old, didn't come out of the coop this morning. I looked in and she was fluffed up on her roost. I gave her an hour and went back out to check and she then jumped down and went into the nesting box. I went back and she was standing still, fluffed up. I brought her in and noticed she was swollen below her vent. Her vent was clean, but I soaked her for a few min in the sink, dryed her off and she is now in my bathroom in a box of straw laying on her side. She will take water and some food from me, she only pooped once since this morning. I will try to post pics. She's alert but not marking any noises. I don't know if it's peritonitis or egg bound or something else. Thank for any advice
