need advice on treating ducks that were attacked

What a shame :hugs

Its very sad, Do you have any fertile eggs from her you could incubate?
The thought crossed my mind, to honor them, but I can't risk having more males. I was at 6 females to 3 males, now I'm down to 3 females and 2 males :/
Plus I'm not sure whose eggs are whose, especially between Ruby and Billie. Aww, except for one I found in a mound of decorative grass - I saw her climbing around in there a few days later and I've never seen Ruby do that so I bet it was hers. I took pictures of her playing around in there with my big camera... haven't even gotten around to looking at them yet :hit:hit
Guys, I gotta get my s**t together by tomorrow, my boss is gonna think I'm crazy if I keep sobbing like this out of nowhere. I already sent him a text warning him not to ask about my weekend (being St Patrick's day he'd have surely thought I went out and had some fun).

She made it through so much! It absolutely kills me to think that this was her end, after all of that...:hit
I know something like this happens to almost everyone eventually, but I can't help feeling guilty, like I failed them.
I know the feeling! I thought I had made things secure enough and had I appreciated the real risk, I wouldn’t ever have put my flock in danger. My husband no longer thinks our duck enclosure is “over engineered” and is much more eager to help me fortify it than he was before the attack.

I’m so sorry for your losses and I hope that you will find comfort in your grief.

Okay, now I'm worried...most places online say they drink about 4 cups a day each (one even said 8:eek:)! They have only drank 1 cup between them all in almost 12 hours, with the except of what they drank while they swam, which I guarantee was nowhere near enough. Is this normal/okay??
If you are worried about whether or not they are eating and drinking enough, start weighing them in the morning. If they are eating and drinking enough they will not be losing weight. I

Did your vet weigh them?

No, he didn't. Tony definitely feels lighter/smaller already though. They're still not eating, other than nibbling at lettuce. I even tried the wet mash - couldn't get anyone to so much as stick a bill in it. :(
I got out my bottle of nutri-drench but then noticed the expiration date was June of 2016, so I'm gonna pick up a new bottle today.

give it to them anyway just to get them started on something. Then pick up a new bottle later

I didn't think it would make them sick but didn't want to risk it. I'm already at work and TSC is on the way home so they'll definitely be getting some soon.
I set my home security cameras up last night so I could watch both groups while I'm gone...might still run home for lunch. If I do I'll weigh them while I'm there.
