Hi my chick hatch a while ago today and its shell is still in the incubator. Should I take it out? My other four chicks are due to hatch in a few hours and tomorrow. And my hatched chick is move some eggs as it moves around is that okay?

That is fine, I would take the shell out. There is no reaon to leave it in there. Don't worry about the other chicks.

i would leave it in lock down to keep the humidity up . the new chick will knock around the other eggs .heck i had one knock eggs 6 inches over and the chicks still hatched. humidity is important right now for you

you should be ok. i just got done with my 1st hatching.my chicks are almost a week old now. too excited not to open the lid.i raised it a bunch of times and got 80% hatch. so dont worry. weird thing was in the incubator the chicks never seem to sleep.once they got to the brooder they are almost always sleeping. after a few days they grew so fast and cant believe how much food 8 little chicks eat.

Thank im hoping another one will hatch tonight and other tomorrow:D

i did notice they must watch us cause out of all of them i didnt see one come out. one morning i looked through the window and saw nothing. got home an hour later and another one was in there.for me i cant see this getting old. i have 15 eggs in there now for 4 days. luckily i wont have a problem getting them homes. i am keeping the 1st batch of 8. i have alot of land if i need to i can always make another coop. alot easier to add another to the ones there .i have built 4 here and another 4 coops for friends. i work for beer lol.

Goodbluck with your chicks. I have 5 eggs one hatched 24hours ago. And anotherr one one was due about 12hours ago but no sign:( very nerve reaking because it the other egg from my hen.
