Need advice pls!

Thanks mostly wondering when I need to consider a safety hole. I really didn’t want to have to help…

You *can* make a safety hole at 18-24 hours after internal pip, but if they're chirping away, you can leave them a little longer. The danger is at about 30 hours after internal pip, by which time they can start to run out of air.

Hey. Thank u. This is exactly what I was asking for yet no one seemed to understand that. . I had one little duckie hatch late last night, 4 have died. In the shell. My hubs opened up one so I could see where I went wrong … hard to know. Isn’t it?? They were all alive a day ago. They looked beautiful. Fully formed etc.

I am down to only 2 - one is out but seems a tad weak. (Was my smallest egg). Yolk is all absorbed. She’s spry then so tired. Understandably. Was a whole lot of hard work. For days. I’ve placed her under the heat plate as she just wasn’t drying out in my still air incubator. Have a tad sugar water on her beak too. Anything else I can do? I don’t want to lose her .
My last duck is zipping away he is my largest egg. Go figure

oh no! I'm sorry it wasn't suggested sooner! It's an awful feeling to lose them before hatch, I know.
It is hard to tell, if they all managed to internally pip it's possible that depending on genetics it could be that the babies were just a bit too weak to pip- hard to say. Were they your own or from a friend, shipped to you? Etc? There's a lot of reasons that they can fail to hatch, but it's so disappointing to see them fail to hatch despite being perfectly formed...

How many days old is the spry then weak one? Has she tried eating or drinking on her own? Has she figured out how to use the heating plate- if not, what height is it set to? (sometimes if it's a bit low they wont go under)
And what food are they on?
I hope this last egg hatches soon!
