I have a chick that I think came down with some sort of coccidiosis but seems to be improving a lot. Her feces are still runny, but no more blood. She's lively and eats and drinks well, though she's a bit underweight. I have separated her from the other chicks but I feel bad for her as she is lonely and seems to be recovering well. When would it be safe to reintroduce?

Also, at what age to chicks become fairly immune to cocci? (I use "immune" loosely as I understand even adult birds can get it.) My chicks are 13 days old.

Thanks,
~Gresh~

Gresh, what med's did you use on this chick to help it recover ....

Also you can reintroduce the chick at anytime but if you turn out the lights for an hour in the evening and reintroduce the chick then the other chicks will not notice this as a new chick ....
