Need advice with winter proofing the coop

    I live in north Alabama and am wanting to get ready for this coming winter. I am wondering how much tarp to use? Where to use it? and anything else I may need to do. I have to go pick up hay for the ground. But other then that I have no idea what to do.
    Here are some pictures. The sun rises behind our tractor shed so the back of the coop and it sets in the front of the coop.

    With your type of setup I would highly recommend buying a 100' roll of 6-mil plastic sheeting. You could use it for not only the entire roofline of your coop/run, but you could also 'wrap' the windward sides, too, to help keep rain out and making a muddy mess of things.
