Hey all-
I have a very abusive Drake. He was a relatively passive drake for the past year, but this year he picked one of our newer hens and really beats up on her. She looks scalped and he messed up her eyes. We separated them and let her do some healing. Now we are afraid to put him back with the flock.
He's the only drake for 6 hens and doesn't pick on any other girls. We had three drakes for 7 hens and that was to much for our poor girls. We gave two drakes away & lost a hen in January. We kept him because he was the most passive.
Any advice would help as long as it's constructive and not rude.
Thanks!
