My rooster is causing concerns for my near by neighbors to complain about the noise he makes. Should I need to re-home him, will my hens be effected at all. Will they be able to function and carry on their daily lives, produce and feel safe without the "by cheese" not around. Please advice me based on the expertise of those of you who have been in this arena longer than myself. Thanks.

Second Post.
Now I have an even bigger issue. I need to re-home this rooster and the person that set me up for backyard chickens can't help me re-home him in my area nor will she take him back. I am in Cobb County, GA which is in the Metro Atlanta area. Do anyone in the Cobb County area know of a free farm or refuge for which I can take this rooster to to live out his days. Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Peace to you all.

Yes nothing too be concerned about your hens will be just fine if not better. They might get a couple feathers back in the process.

Many thanks in advance to all of you who have responded. I will make sure to check and inspect the grounds on a daily bases to make sure that the conditions of their environment is not subject to predators who might find them to be an easy prey. Glad to know I got you all to consult with. Peace and blessings to all.

Hello, and welcome to Backyard Chickens! Your hens will most likely lead happier, stress free lives without a rooster to constantly pester them. I hope you enjoy BYC as much as I have!
