You're doing fine. They're lucky to have such a caring person. One thing I noticed in your original post. You don't need to add grit to their food. You can just place it in it's own dish in with them. They'll eat it when they need and you won't go through as much.

5 days at full strength dose.
You can continue for a few more days after the 5 at a lower dose.

new box,new shavings no heat lamp. They are medicated now. will do 5 days and probably two more just to make sure at a lesser dose. I have the grit in a separate bowl now. Fingers crossed as it took me forever to find these guys. Much thanks to all that helped.

We brought these eggs back 2 hours in the car to sit under our broody. we manage to get 5 of the six eggs to hatch.

My chicks raised with broody's have not faced coccidiosis... did you let her hatch them but not raise them?

yes, just after a few days she didn't show much interest. She had, had successful hatches and weened at about 6 weeks in the past. I had to take this group. They were huddled in the corner of the run and mom went to roost. Maybe you guys know. I'm lost here.

It happens... and especially if they have recently brooded. In my experience each subsequent brooding in close proximity gets more sloppy so I don't allow it in my excessive gals that wanna sit on every third egg.

The chicks have life again this evening. Just wanted to express thanks again. This forum is awesome.

Going to continue the Meds for a couple more days to make sure unless you guys advise aginst it.
