got to hens broody but i found out that 2 other hens have lice, so the broody ones might have some too, i have lice powder but i dont want to scare them off going broody by handling them. Could i put a box in their broody coop with lice powder in? so they can dust bathe in it

Not sure if this will help but here goes. I recently had a Sultan brooding and on one of her broody breaks, I noticed she spent most of the time scratching. I took some DE and sprinkled it liberally on her nest. Then I grabbed her and sprinkled it liberally on her and rubbed her feathers up enough to make sure it got down to her skin. Problem solved as far as I could tell and her chicks hatched with no issues (and no scratching).
