Try putting some Blu Kote on the wounds in the meantime. That stuff worked wonders when I rescued a few ducks that had Bumblefoot on their foot pads and toes. After applying it for about 2 weeks, it went away. Now if there is a cheesy core, your goose may need surgery to remove it... nothing else can really be done about that. It IS a common problem amongst barnyard fowl, however. Their tender feet can get cut by anything and even the most minor cut can lead to infection.
