My goose Precious (in avatar) has bad feet. Have taken him to the vet twice and was told it is not bumble foot. He said not to cut on them to take out the plug because he tried and only got heavy bleeding. He said not bumble foot but not sure what it is.
He has 3 on one foot 2 on the other. They do hurt him and one sore is getting bigger.
Can someone help me with this? I can't put up a pic for some reason. They look alot like bumble foot.

Could there be something in the enviroment that he is walking on and hurting his feet? I would do what the vet told you to do. See if you can add a photo to your profile. A photo would really help.

There it is haha, i was trying to get back into that account and couldn't.
The vet is the only one around here that will even talk about seeing a goose. He said he used to have A duck so he knows a little. I don't think he is real familiar with them though. But he is trying all I can ask.
He is in a dirt pen during the day and stands in his pool most of the day won't come out except to eat. He walks on the driveway but with the other geese (they are fine) and only to get to the grass on the other side and back.
I want to load a pic but it won't let me add attachments I will just make the avatar his foot I guess

Sure looks like a very bad case of Bumble foot. alot of swelling and blk scab. I think hard to tell by pic. but I read on here a few years ago about a product called TRICIDE-Neo I ordered some but thank goodness haven't had to use it. I ordered online and can't remember where but I'm sure if you googled it you could find it easily enough. If i had to use it I would have to look up how, i think you soak their feet in it. Poor boy it sure does look painful. And the vet opened it up to make sure nothing was in there?

We had to treat 2 adults I bought that came with bumble foot. It can be done at home, but it helps to have 2 people. You do need to soak it in warm epsom salt water for about 10 minutes first. Even if you aren't ready to "dig in", maybe you could do the soak anyway to give him a little relief and get him used to being handled that way.

"Ruth" had a great thread on treating it. We followed her instructions after we made the list and got all of our supplies for the "surgery". Not fun, but it worked.

Thanks guys. I realy need to figure out what to do and do it now. The vet said leave it but it is only getting worse and I hate seeing my nutty baby limping. Maybe I should ask him about surgery again, but it will cost alot I am sure since there are so many of them. He sort of cut along the edge of the black to see if he could get the plug out and it only bled so he stopped

If it's staff it will eventually move through his body. It really needs to be taken care of asap. Is there another vet you could talk with? Unless you think you could do it. That is the worse Bumble foot i have ever seen, course it could be the lighting in the pic too.
