Need advise for candling

14 eggs should be hatching this weekend in an incubator. Due to smell problems, I candled them and found 7 very easy to see in and 7 very dark and can not see in.

I'm guessing the dark ones are fertile and the transluant ones infertile?

If you are smelling rotten eggs, one of the eggs was definitely rotting. The ones that look like they are filled up by a shadow have chicks in them. I hope you have an awesome hatch!! What breed are you hatching?

That's cool. I specialize in breeding mutt chickens that lay all sorts of egg colors (easter/olive eggers lol)
