Need an answer quickly! Does a cat know......?

Cuatro stayed in all night. Her and Kitty got into some major fights while we humans were trying to sleep. Rather than get out of bed, we told the dogs to go break up the fights. Don't laugh, it works.

Huh. We did that too - had the dog break up cat fights (our cat and random neighbor cats). Nothing like seeing a dobbie at full gallop run up to a cat fight and stick it's nose under the back end of any cat stupid enough to stick around. And then lick them from head to toe. More than any respectable Tomcat can handle.

We had to stop telling Jax to "go get the cat!". He was taking us literally, picking the cats up by their heads and bringing them to us.

Is this Jax the headless dog?

All I can say is GSDs must have a high tolerance for pain. All Jax cares about is pleasing us and if bringing us a cat that is scratching and clawing the whole way is what it takes, then by goodness that's what he's going to do.
