Need an easy way to make nest boxes

I'm getting more hens and I need a few for nests. Any easy ideas out there for me?

What about those Milk crates? The plastic ones? they make good nest boxes w/ hay in them and you can take them out to clean.

i like that idea. i think you could probably get milk crates from any grocery store?

If you use milk crates you would want a ledge across the front to keep the eggs from rolling out. I have the 5 gallon bucket nests and they refuse to use them.

We used old kitchen drawers i found for free on the side of the road.

If you have a transfer station try looking there for something similar, or try the free section on craigslist.

i meant buy, or ask if they had any they would give away...thats what i meant. i'm not a bad person!

You can use 5 gallon buckets but my hens don't really like them. I had 4 in the coop and they only used 1 and layed the rest of the eggs in a corner.
