Need answer quick .....Question about flowers in chicken run

I have been looking for over an hour and can't find info on this to my satisfaction lol.

Are hollyhocks poisonous to chickens? If they are in the run do they eat them or ignore them?

Any other plant no no's I looked at a list but it was so confusing I need down to earth yes/ no not causes: $100 word that normal everyday people have to go research to understand.(ps..I am not a stupid person either I am pretty smart about most things just not technical names foe plants and such.

Have you seen this list? http://www.poultryhelp.com/toxicplants.html i don't see Hollyhock on it. And then here is a list of plants safe for birds, not specifically chickens. http://www.busybirds.net/Safe.html

As to your question about the chickens ignoring them or eating them, basically a chicken will eat every single microscopic shred of anything alive and green within beaks reach.

Thank you I didn't see it on that list either but then again I don't know a lot about plants except what I like to see and smell lol

Other than garden plants

I am pretty inexperience

in planting plants/flowers ect. but am giving it a go this year. Hollyhocks sunflowers petunias poppies and a whole bunch of plants that are suppose to attract butterflies and humming birds lol

I am new to chickens this year to but I have 12 BO that are spoiled rotten and I am loving every minute of it!!!!!

My answer was more geared towards enclosed coops. When my chickens are out in the yard, they tend to go just after the bugs. But the enclosed pens, where they spend the majority of the time, have been stripped of greens. i was thinking the OP was referring to planting the flowers in an enclosed coop.
