I move broodies into broody pens all the time. Mostly they sit. I have a Coronation Orp that "plays broody" a lot in the hen house but as soon as you move her she's up, I left her once and she sat for 9 days then she was thru.....I have 7 broodies right now that I know of 2 CM in broody pens, 2 (a Blk Cochin and a BJG) in nests next to the broody pens (I had to pen the BS Turkey who wanted to share),plus a BJG and a guinea sharing a large nest in the hay bales, a Rio grand Turkey and if the BSturkey is going to set in the flight pen I moved her to that will be 8. I have mostly given them guinea eggs. I am also missing a Partridge Cochin I suspect is under the shed. The Cubalaya hen showed up with 3 guinea keets the other day, no idea where she stole them from. (We don't have much of a predator problem here so I don't get too concerned, especially during broody season, I have good dogs) I have a Delaware I keep tossing out of the nest box too.
Here's the thing, move the hen to a nice quiet, dark if possible, spot and see how it goes. Try to keep them in their own space if they and/or the eggs are important to you. Most hens appreciate their own space either way.
