need candling help

when i candled my serema eggs some of them have this huge black line that run through the middle they look infertile and im positive that it is not a blood vessel as the is my 4th time hatching eggs ill upload pics later

oh and they have been in the incubator for 6 days

Look up top of this forum: there's a thread stickied there and it has links to lots of good threads on frequently asked questions. One of those links is to a wonderfully helpful thread on candling.

You may be looking at a bloodring, but go compare it to the pictures there and see what you think. Even if I see a bloodring, I hold the egg until I can't see any active veins, just in case the babe had a chance. I don't know if that's good or bad, but it makes me feel like I've done all I could.
