This was pretty hard for us to do and now we need help figuring it out.
It was our first time doing an autopsy, it was my husband's favorite chicken and we only had a few minutes.
She was a 3 year old Ideal 236 leghorn. She declined slowly over the last couple of months and nothing I did seemed to help. Her comb was thin and limp but still red and she seemed to move in slow motion. Roosted until the last night.
You'll notice a bunch of little white things everywhere. Also, mealworms in her crop even though she hadn't eaten them(or anything else) for 2 days.
