I have two Toulouse goslings that will be here any day now! I am very excited, but I have read and been told multiple things for feeding. Could anyone offer some clarification?
I am feeding my ducklings Purina Flock Raiser 20% Protein as of right now. I know that goslings have different needs then ducklings. Is there any way to modify the flock raiser to make it more suitable for the goslings past the age of a few weeks? (ex adding scratch, cracked corn, rolled oats, ect)
Is there a feed that is widely available that I could feed them instead? Should I switch them to a different feed entirely?
What do other members feed their adult geese?
I know that grass is essential, but I do live in new england. It will be a few weeks before it is warm enough for goslings to be outside. In the winter, there will not be grass available. What can I do to keep my geese happy and healthy in these situations?
I greatly appreciate any help I can get, I really would like to prevent and leg/wing issues!
