Need Comfort....

Well, I'm not recommending that you do this, but my daughter went through the same baloney. She finally stared at the biggest teaser and said, "You don't seem to be very well developed either." She never got teased after that.

Your best defense is honestly to ignore them. You do not condescend to listen to stupid people, related or not. Its honestly not any of their business. You can let them know in your best "you stupid ignorant boy" attitude that what they say or think has so little meaning to you that it doesn't even bother you. If it in anyway goes over the line though make sure you scream it from the rooftops though. No ignoring even one tiny little step over the line.

On the plus side research has shown that developing later is actually better for your body and means you will avoid menopause longer. Its to be preferred. Also why would you want to be an early bloomer. Is the staring boys really a benefit to it? Nope They just get more annoying when you do develop and you can count on most of what they say being hormone influenced. Just hang tight and keep that chin up. Practice that i don't listen to stupid people attitude too.

I was a late bloomer also....All of my friends were through puberty and I didn't even really need a bra yet. I didn't get my period until 16 years old! Hang in there! Time changes ALL things! I gotta tell you when I did come into puberty it shut them up quick! I had curves in all the right places. Not such a great thing now that I am 35 and had 2 kids...boy do I miss my 17 year old body! Be patient.... I know school seems like your whole life. But that time in life is such a small part of the rest to come. Once you graduate you will probably never see or have much contact with anyone you went to school with. So plan for your future after high school and you be ALOT farther ahead than the idiots spending their time picking on you! May God give you strength to deal with this situation!

Read this and from my interpretation, you think I'm a girl. I'm not.

Believe in the truth that you are a perfect you.

Fully developed? Not even sure I'm "fully developed".. and I'm old.
But as I now need bigger pants that I use to, I believe I must still be
"developing".

You're perfect in the way that you are.

Spook

My son is 13 and a head shorter then all the other boys. He weighs 87 pounds. He has the same problems, people poking fun, all of it. He knows he will grow, just as you will. Your bones will be stronger, since they are not growing so fast. Trust me when I tell you, my husband (sons dad) was a shrimp until he turned 19. Then he shot up to 6'1".

No worries. You will grow and you will be healthier because you took your time. Enjoy your youth. It's a very brief time of your life.

Gee, what a pity their bodies haven't put any energy into growing brains yet, huh?

Of course, some people's never do . . .

Seriously, it's their insecurities talking. If they can't get at you with their teasing, they'll quit - eventually. Of course, eventually, it will no longer be an issue. And while it's no fun feeling that people are laughing at you, learning to laugh at yourself can be a valuable lesson to learn!
