Need dimensions nest boxes

if you make them bigger sometimes more than one will nest together, we made one large one, with a curtain in between, sometimes three will squeeze in together!
View attachment 1618372 it is 26 inches long and 16 inches in depth, and 20 inches high (the extra couple inches are used for roll away - bottom conceals the egg)
I am interested in this type of a nesting box. Do you have pics of the inside with the curtains? Are there curtains between the nests dividing it into multiple nest areas or just curtains across the front? I'm thinking of a communal box with curtains across the front.

I made a communal box with a curtain across the front. Honestly, I'm not that thrilled with it. A few of them used it, a few insisted on laying elsewhere. I think they like boxes that are a bit cozier.

I'd ditch the curtains. I've seen nest boxes with them but I don't think they're necessary. These are some of the nest boxes when we first built one of the coops. I have since remove the roosts in front of the nest boxes because the birds tended to roost on them and sleep and poop in the nest boxes. Now they don't. My neighbor built community nest boxes out of an old 2 shelf book shelf. I put a golf ball in each of the nest boxes and the birds use the nest boxes. You can use anything such as golf balls, ping pong balls, fake eggs, etc. in the nest boxes. I have had fewer eggs layed on the floor of the coop or on the ground since putting the golf balls in the nest boxes.
