Need Feedback on Ideal Poultry Silkies

I don't have an incubator, and I want to be able to interact with them, so I can't let a hen set. I'm not much worried, just would prefer to not have single combs on silkies.
i got a hovabator online (maybe premier1 supplies) that was VERY reasonable. it has a fan, cheap thermometer (i got a back up with humidity reading as well in case!) and i got it with the auto turner...really i think i only paid about $50 and i have had lots of successful hatches. you have to be on it...looking and checking temps and humidity and adding water etc but it was quite exciting to SEE them hatch! i never had before. made myself crazy checking constantly, online all the time asking questions! great experience!

the blue silkie you see in my pic was from ideal...she is VERY small. another in the batch has never laid but never crowed and is way smaller! but her owner loves her and so do all the neighbor kids!
