Hello i have 9 youngsters and im trying to work out the sex's as i cant keep any more roo's.
They are all different breeds so il put breed an age before the piccys.

appenzeller 5 weeks

Brahma 9 weeks

D'anver 8 weeks

This one hatched out of what was supposed to be a gold brahma egg and it has bald legs, is silver and has 5 toes...
So im guessing some kind of Dorking mix. Any other guess' are welcomed, this also appears to be getting a rose comb. Its 8 weeks

Mini Araucana 5 weeks

Orpington 11 weeks

This hatched out of an egg marked pekin, i thought at the time of setting it was very large for a pekin egg. Now its hatched its clear it isnt a pekin and i have no clue what it is so guess' are welcomed, and if it helps it appears to be getting a rose comb. It is also 5 weeks.

Mini Rhode island red 11 weeks

Serama 11 weeks

I can say with confidence that your Orpington and mini Rhodes are girls. I have no experience with the other breeds so I wouldn't be able to give an educated guess.

Thank you very much for the reply on the orp and rir. Iv got a feeling the Danver might be a boy, its going very red already..

Pretty birds!!

I have a 4-5 week old SLW ghat was sold to me as a pullet. In the last few days, I have noticed that she has a little more red to her beak. No signs of a comb forming at all yet. Maybe a dominant pullet? I live in a neighborhood where I don't want a Roo, so I am REALLY hoping this she is not a he! What do you think?

My other hens are Leghorns and are fully feathered with flesh colored combs still. I am a Rookie to chickens, and realize some breeds develop differently. Any help would be GREAT! Thanks :)

Definitely a pullet!

Gee thanks for hijacking my post... didnt wanna make your own thread?

Now that I look back over the pictures I, also, am thinking that the D'anger is a cockerel.
