My africans hatched 4 goslings. I would lkke to know if the family unit is ok togethor or do I need to separate the gander from them. . So far he has been devoted and protective of his goose and goslings with no show of aggression towards the babies but one of my neighbors is telling me he will try to attack the goslings before much longer. . I intend to rehome the goslings as soon as they are feathered out. Can I wait that long or am I going to have an issue?

Most ganders may be even better parents than the goose is. The gander is the first line of defense.

If you are planning on rehoming I would suggest hand raising them. I just purchased three Toulouse geese that were raised by goose and gander and they are deathly afraid of people. Im afraid what they're telling my goslings.... Haha but the geese will raise them quote dedicatedly

Thats what I thought too but decided I should check after the gloom and doom report from the neighbor. Thank you
