Need hatching buddy! Setting 5 duck and 5 hen eggs Sat 1/16

It sounds like everyone is a little early. I have one pip also! I will probably get woke up at 3 AM with a loud "Here I am" chirp!

Sounds like you all did a great job! I might hatch a little late, was worried about the temp going too high. I guess the room we're incubating in is more stable temperature-wise.

here is the status:
woke up to 3 pips, 3 chicks and 1 zipping chick
I got to watch the zipping chick pop out (no tah dah)

the other 8 are kinda just there, boy i hope they also hatch but for now 4 babies and 2 pips!
Here is all I could come up with for a picture.

I feel bad leaving them in there but I will NOT open the top just like everyone says.

I have a barred rock roo, and the eggs we collected are buff rock and nh. One of the buff rock eggs yeilded a black chick with a yellow head!

I didnt want my first hatch to be expensive purebred eggs when I had a dozen hanging around

Sooo exciting!!!

One ee chick hatched (my DH 1st saw it at 5:30am) I'll take/upload a pic once I charge the camera. The other ee one that pipped late last night doesn't seem to be doing much yet. Am hoping the loud chirping chick wakes the others!!! The 8 wk olds in the brooder cage nearby are quiet (rare) and are twisting their heads trying to figure out the source of the noise. lol

I had to go to work so unfortunately I wont get to see any more hatch until later nor will i have additional pics but I will get frequent updates!

I got home this morning to a pip!!!! Then another pip all the way thru and peeping! Woohoo.

Are they a day early?

Another green egg pipped. So far 1 ee chick hatched and 2 ee eggs pipped. Not much happening in the BCM bator, though the temp is up to 98.1 (floor) and humidity 71%.
