I’m having a thought it should work in theory if you have a plastic colander put some water in a pot and place the colander over it and put the heat lamp on it. That should keep them warm and provide humidity. A makeshift incubator

Sorry to hear it. The dogs were having fun and didn’t know. I’m not going to tell you what my grandpa did when the dogs got the chickens even know it worked OLD SCHOOL WAYS effective but harshThank you. I will. I just heard one peep so I know some are still living. Praying for them. Thank you so much.
I am angry at the dogs; but you are right. They were just being dogs. It was my fault that I did not secure that latch.
Rooster was RIR, brooding hen was RIR; but I have a few different hen types so not real sure exactly which eggs are which.Yep, they can survive for many hours after she was off them, as long as they don't freeze.
You will need something to create and capture some humidity. Don't get the eggs wet, but see if you have some kind of container to trap some humidity, but they still need ventilation
Also, if you have trouble keeping the temperature steady, lower is better than higher. Don't let them get too warm
Good luck, and sorry about your hen. What breed are they?
I understand. Still not sure what will happen to them. They can never be around chickens again or the same thing will happen. I don’t know if I want to rebuild my flock because of them. I have two dogs who never messed with the chickens before; but we got two younger dogs who just can’t help themselves. We will see where we are in a week or so.Sorry to hear it. Thanks.Rebuildthat’s my vote
They are all brown. I had RI Red, RI White, RI Gold sex-link, New Hampshire Red, and Dominiquers that lay brown eggs. I also had White Leghorns; but they laid white eggs.Well yeah know the brown eggs are RIR. What other colors did you have?
We have kept the temp fairly close to 100 degrees. I have had a vaporizer in the room also. I hear a peep every once in a while so I am assuming some are making it.Sorry I am late.
Make sure you pay very close to the temperature.
You do NOT want to over heat these egg.
How are things going today?
